“Budding musicians, DJs and producers wanting to take it to the next level should check out Artpeggios Music And Art School Academy that has just opened in West London.
The academy is holding several open days where visitors can take a look around the excellent facilities including DJing and computer music room equipped with 15 computers, top notch software and DJ tables, recording studio, 10 fully equipped tuition/rehearsal rooms, one state of the art practise band room, a sound-proofed room (for lectures, small performance, theatre and singing groups), theart studio and the music composition suite!
Open days take place on Saturday 8th December, Sunday 9th December (opening times are 10am-6pm). There will also be a free family event on January 26th and 27th (also 10am-6pm). Interested parties can meet the staff, check out the academy and instruments and more.
They are also holding Christmas Holiday Camps on Monday 17th December to 21st December, and Spring Half-Term and Easter Holiday Camps taking place from February 18th to Sunday 24th and Saturday March 30th to Saturday April 13th, all for 3 hours a day.

Andy Warhol 4 portraits of the Queen created in 1985 at Windsor Castle. Four portraits of the Queen by the artist Andy Warhol have been acquired by the Royal Collection to mark the diamond jubilee. These portraits are based on a formal photograph during the Silver Jubilee celebrations of the Queen Elizabeth II in 1977. Artpeggios a interviewé pour vous, Juliette 18 ans, passionnée de saxo, de guitare et d’Artpeggios. Ecoutez!
Tu joues quel instrument ? Du saxophone et de la guitare.
Depuis combien de temps ? La guitare ça fait 11 ans, et le saxophone ça fait presque un an.
D’autres instruments ? J’aimerais faire du jazz piano.
Tu as déjà fait de petites représentations ? Oui, tous les concerts de Jacques Nazaire, et un concert à l’école aussi pour IT. Pour la fête de la musique, j’ai joué mes propres chansons !
Pour toi Artpeggios c’est…? Un lieu où les musiciens viennent et se retrouvent pour faire de la musique, trouver des points communs. Parce que le truc qui manquait un peu avant, c’est que tu ne rencontrais jamais des gens avec qui tu peux « jam » après. J’aime me dire : « ah on va faire un truc ensemble et tout » donc je pense que musicalement c’est assez intéressant.
Et réaliser des one to one, après des petits groupes ? Oui, il faut aussi bien sûr des one to one session afin de progresser avec plus d’attention.
Des projets en musique ? Peut-être jouer à côté de l’université et dans quelques pubs, pourquoi pas ?
Enregistrer en studio? J’adorerais, ça serait complètement génial. Parce que la qualité de musique n’est pas la même. Quand mes amis me demandent « est-ce que tu peux me passer quelques-unes de tes musiques ? », je leur dis « oui, je te l’envoie par recording de téléphone » , ce n’est pas la même qualité qu’en studio bien sûr.
Qu’est-ce qui te plait avec les cours de Jacques Nazaire @Artpeggios? Le fait de s’adapter à toi, donc si tu as des difficultés dans quelque chose, il t’aidera et tu progresseras toujours mais il le fait d’une manière qui est sans pression.
